What's Randoseru?

Qu’est ce que Randoseru?

Randoseru’s history

Randoseru is a comfortable and useful schoolbackpack.

The shape is the same from more than a century bud the bag still evolves. It belongs

to the traditional and historical patrimony of Japan.

The use of the randoseru began between the Edo and the Meiji eras. Backpack made of textile

was imported and finally called randoseru.

In 1887, the randoseru was used for the very first time by the future emperor, Taisho Tenou,

when he entered elementary school. The prime minister Hirofumi Itou recommended it as a new

ideal for Japanese primary school students.

Japanese children use it even now because it is practical, user-friendly and solid. It is carried

until sixth grade because of the lightness and hands free for students.

In Japan, the beginning of the school is symbolically as important as using stuffs for longtime

and taking care about it. Randoseru belongs to children and their memories for school-days.

Our wishes

We always want the schooling to be a joyful days for children.

We are glad that European primary students carry our traditional Japanese backpack. With our special

technology, we adapted the format for European scholar books.

Children’s smile mean a lot for us and we wish to be a part of happiness and hope of studying.
